Short description

Why do you click with some people and clash with others? It is not luck, and it is not your fault. It comes down to how each of us takes in and processes information. Your Social World Explained is a complete, plain-English guide to socionics, the system that goes beyond your four-letter type to show how the 16 personality types relate to each other.

Author bio

Short bio (36 words)

Spencer Stern has spent nearly twenty years making socionics practical for everyday readers. He is the author of the 'Socionics Made Simple' series, the creator of SocionicsInsight.com, and a product and experimentation analyst in London.

Long bio (113 words)

Spencer Stern has spent nearly twenty years making socionics practical for everyday readers. His first book on the subject, Socionics Demystified, came out in 2007. He went on to write Your Social World Explained, first published in 2014, with a second edition in 2026, and the 'Socionics Made Simple' series. He also created the SLIDE System (Stern-Lezama Interpersonal Dynamics Evaluator) and SocionicsInsight.com, where readers can go further into the theory. His books lean on clear models and plain language rather than jargon, so that anyone can use socionics to understand themselves, their relationships and the people they work with. Away from writing, Spencer is a product and experimentation analyst in London.
